Art Director: Kades Café – Hybrid Play & Hospitality Concept

As the Multidisciplinary Designer, I was responsible for developing a complete brand ecosystem, from the visual identity and digital presence to the physical spatial UX. The challenge was to create a “full-stack” experience that felt playful enough for children but sophisticated enough for a premium café environment.

  • Data: Analyzed spatial traffic patterns to optimize the placement of the ‘Play Zone’ gates, reducing parent anxiety and increasing table turnover.
  • Environmental UX: Designed a spatial layout that prioritized safety and visibility while maintaining a high-end café aesthetic. I used a cohesive color palette of pastel blues and pinks to define the “Play Zone” without clashing with the “Dining Zone.”
  • Brand Identity & Package Design: Developed the “Kades Café” logo and typography, ensuring the “Kicks & Smiles” sub-branding translated seamlessly across physical touchpoints, including custom coffee cups, donut packaging, and environmental signage.
  • Service Integration: Crafted a “Full-Stack” approach by ensuring the digital menu systems and on-site branding worked in harmony, focusing on a “Human-Centered” experience for busy parents.

Conclusion

Scalable Framework: Created a modular design system that can be replicated across multiple locations, ensuring brand consistency in both the physical and digital space.

Unified Brand Ecosystem: Successfully launched a concept where physical architecture and digital branding are indistinguishable, creating a seamless user journey from the street to the counter.

Market Differentiation: Positioned the brand as a premium “Family Hospitality” leader, moving away from the typical “primary color” playground aesthetic toward a modern, Instagrammable, and high-revenue model.
